This week

has been very busy with work for me, and while I planned to have the calendar ready by now, I must admit defeat because I did not find the time. However, tonight I managed to get the “candidates” sorted out, and after that, things usually get easier, so I hope to have it ready early this coming week. When I compile the calendar, I look for photos that are pretty also when not cropped, with no cut off bird and no imperfections. Not all of my photos match that. For everyday posting, it does not matter but for a calendar it does. And that is what makes the selection tough. This year, the busiest months, April and May, have been when I was not at 100 %, so there are less photos to choose from, which made it easier. (I do hope that next April and May will be just like normal again though!)

In the meantime, I have been trying to keep up with the various trailcams and posting videos on the socials mostly. Activity has definitely grown a bit but there is still mostly Blue Jays, Mourning Doves and Finches. The weather is taking a proper turn towards fall now, though, so I am hoping that things will improve in the coming weeks.

Have a lovely weekend, here with some of the young Cardinals that are currently visiting the baths too.
