Putting the "sun"
into this Sunday post. Blue skies and bright light dominated yesterday and created some pretty photos of the regulars. The Starling showed off his glistering chest, and the Blue Jay his delicate feather textures. Winter variety is always a little boring but changes in light, temperature and weather often make me rediscover the beauty of the regular crowd.
Bird traffic
continues to be slow, but this morning we had the first slight frost of the season, so winter is slowly coming. The sun continues to give her all, making some of the otherwise more dull visitors like this Starling appear in a new light. Making me forgive them their bad table and nesting manners for a bit.
On my quest
to not have the sun shine directly into the camera, I move my setup around a lot with the change of the seasons, and I am always looking for new backgrounds. This is one I recently started using, and today, the light was really lovely for a bit.
