Video: So bouncy!
A mouse has made a home under the ground feeder, feeding from everything that falls to the ground. Last night, a fox visited and then this happened. I have seen this in videos before but did not think it would happen here. I love the markings on this beautiful creature, and I hope he was able to find some food at some point (I don’t think he got the mouse).
Video: Look who it is!
In the last weeks and months, I mostly saw skunks and raccoons in the night recordings, but look who was back last night, happily running into the frame 😁 Herr von Bödefeld! I love Opossums and always feel lucky to have them visiting my yard. And I hope this one returns for some more muncher videos.
Video: A Michigan Stand-off
The Opossum was back tonight! But also meeting a Raccoon. This was neat because I have never seen the 'possum show it's teeth. We are still wondering if we will see a mommy opossum walk by carrying the babies.
Video: fuzzy night visitor
Last night, the trifecta of Michigan nightly visitors came to the waterhole - a raccoon, a skunk and then this adorable fuzzy butt, an Opossum. I am happy to see him, it has been a while. I am busy with work this weekend, and bird traffic is not extraordinary, so I am a bit slow with photos. However, the calendar is in the works, and the cameras are out to capture whatever fun stuff might happen. Have a great Saturday!
Video: Nightly pond visitor
The pond has been there for a while now, but there are still fun surprises like A FROG! 😁 It feels good to know that we created a habitat. I hope he is hungry!
Video: Eastern Screech Owl at the bird bath
I just casually checked the livestream when, much to my delight, I spotted this adorable Eastern Screech owl taking a dip and a sip in the bird bath. I never even knew I had them in my backyard before I had the Birdsy camera. I am loving the bird bath setup, it is a nice little change from the feeder, and it might capture some of the spring migrants that never actually make it to my feeders. They all need to drink!
