Sunny March mornings

are great for bird photos, especially when it comes to Grackles. I love studying all the different hues on them. There are subtypes with blue-green, purple and bronze tones in the feathers, depending on the area where they live. The ones around here are usually greenish, blue and purple but I have seen the bronze type before too. The Blue Jays also love the sun, it makes all the intricate patterns their feathers have more visible, especially cool around the face.
