Puffbird season has started,
which is when birds like Grackles and Redwinged Blackbirds are making themselves really big to impress the ladies and their rivals, and it is always fun to see birds that may have been here in previous years return. That is the case with this "Kermit Grack", as I call it because of the weird eye it has. And while the air sounds and feels very springy, things are still on the slow side. But I think everybody is on the move now. The migration forecasts are coming in now, and good times are ahead for birdwatchers.
